1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of tetonoverlanding.com and any reservation you make through this website. By booking, you agree to them.
Teton Overlanding Adventures ("we," "us," "our") rents a truck-mounted camper and related outdoor equipment from Rigby, Idaho.
We may update these Terms at any time. The version in effect when you book is the version that applies to your reservation.
2. Who can book
To make a reservation you must be at least [25] years old, hold a valid driver's license, and be legally able to enter a contract.
Anyone who will drive must be listed and approved by us in advance. See the rental agreement for full driver requirements.
3. How reservations work
3.1 Requests, not confirmations. Submitting a booking and payment through this site is a request. Your reservation is confirmed only when we send written confirmation.
3.2 We may decline. We may decline any booking at our discretion, including where driver requirements aren't met, documentation isn't provided, or the vehicle becomes unavailable. If we decline, you get a full refund of anything paid.
3.3 Accuracy. You're responsible for the accuracy of the dates, contact details, and driver information you provide.
4. The rental agreement
Before taking possession, you must sign our Vehicle & Equipment Rental Agreement and provide a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
If you don't complete these, the rental is cancelled and our cancellation policy applies. Booking through this site does not by itself entitle you to possession of the vehicle.
5. Pricing, payment, and deposit
5.1 Rates. Rates are shown at booking, in U.S. dollars, and don't include park entrance fees, fuel, or optional add-ons unless stated.
5.2 What you pay when. You pay the full amount of $265 per night rented upon checkout.  
5.3 Security deposit. A refundable security deposit of $750 is authorized as a hold on your credit card. This is a hold, not a charge — the funds are reserved but not taken.
The hold is released after the vehicle is returned and inspected, provided it comes back:

• Undamaged beyond normal wear

• With a full fuel tank and propane at the level provided

• Reasonably clean and free of excessive dirt or trash

• With all rented equipment present

If any of these aren't met, we may capture part or all of the deposit. Any amount retained will be itemized in writing. You remain responsible for costs exceeding the deposit amount.
5.4 Delivery. Delivery and pickup are charged at [$3] per mile from Rigby, [each way / round trip].
5.5 Errors. If a rate is displayed incorrectly due to a technical error, we'll contact you before confirming. You may accept the corrected rate or cancel for a full refund.
6. Changes and cancellations
6.1 If you cancel before 24 hours of arrival date, a full refund will be issued, minus a $25 convenience fee (to cover transaction fees we still have to cover).
If you cancel within 24 hours of your arrival, 50% of the charged amount will be refunded.
6.2 Changing dates. Requests to change dates are subject to availability and must be made at least 24 hours before pickup. 
6.3 If we cancel. If we must cancel for mechanical, safety, or other reasons, you receive a full refund. Our liability is limited to that refund — we're not responsible for other costs such as flights, lodging, or time off work.
6.4 No-shows and late pickup. Failure to appear within 2 hours of the scheduled time without contacting us is treated as a cancellation with no refund.
6.5 Weather. Weather alone is not grounds for a refund outside the policy above. It is your responsibility as the customer to be aware forecast as well as any road closures.
7. Add-on equipment
Bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards, and other equipment are rented subject to availability and to the same agreement and deposit terms as the vehicle.
We provide no instruction or supervision in the use of this equipment. You're responsible for assessing your own ability and the conditions, and for compliance with all helmet, life-jacket, and safety-equipment laws.
8. Assumption of risk and limitation of liability
8.1 Overlanding, camping, and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated, including risks of serious injury or death. By booking, you acknowledge these risks. Full terms are in the rental agreement.
8.2 To the fullest extent permitted by Idaho law, our total liability arising from any reservation is limited to the amount you paid for that reservation.
8.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost travel time, missed connections, alternative lodging, or lost wages.
8.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Website use
9.1 Availability. We aim to keep availability information accurate but don't guarantee the site is error-free or continuously available.
9.2 Content. All content on this site — text, photographs, logos, and design — is our property or used with permission, and may not be reproduced without written consent.
9.3 Third-party services. Booking and payment are handled through third-party providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms.
10. Privacy
Personal information you provide is handled per our Privacy Policy.  (tetonoverlanding.com/privacy)
We do not sell your personal information.
11. Photos and media
We may photograph the vehicle and equipment for marketing. If you'd prefer not to appear in any such images, tell us in writing and we'll honor that.
12. Disputes
12.1 Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, contact us before pursuing other remedies. Most issues are resolved directly.
12.2 Governing law. These Terms are governed by Idaho law. Venue lies in Jefferson County, Idaho.
12.3 Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
