What is overlanding?

Overlanding is self-reliant travel to remote destinations where the journey is the main goal. It’s all about exploring off-the-beaten-path locations in a well-equipped vehicle—camping, adventuring, and making memories along the way.

What’s included with a Teton Overlanding vehicle?

Each vehicle comes fully outfitted with:

  • A rooftop tent

  • Off-road gear

  • Cooking essentials

  • Water storage

  • Camp chairs

  • A full walk-through before your trip

Add-ons like kayaks, bikes, and fishing gear are available at checkout.

See vehicle details here.

What gear should I bring?

We provide the camping foundation, but you’ll want to pack:

  • Clothing for all weather (it can change fast in the mountains)

  • Food and personal snacks

  • Toiletries and towels

  • Phone chargers, camera, etc.

Where can I go?

You can explore anywhere within our approved travel zone around Southeast Idaho & Wyoming, including, but not limited to:

  • Yellowstone National Park

  • Grand Teton National Park

  • Island Park, Swan Valley, Mesa Falls, and more!

We’ll help you map out your route and recommend hidden gems.

Do I need off-roading experience?

Nope! Our vehicles are beginner-friendly, and we give you a full tutorial before you go. Most of our recommended routes are accessible via forest roads and scenic byways.

What if something goes wrong on the road?

Each rig comes with emergency supplies, basic tools, and a first-aid kit. We’re available for support by phone during your trip and provide recovery info just in case. Your safety is our top priority.

Are the vehicles clean?

Absolutely. Every rig is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and restocked between trips. We treat our vehicles like a backcountry hotel on wheels!

When should I book?

Summer and early fall fill up fast—especially for weekends and holiday weeks. We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Plans change—we get it. We offer flexible cancellations with a full refund up to 14 days before your trip. Cancellations within 14 days may be subject to a fee. See full details during checkout.
